| TAKE A TRIP ON A STEAM TRAIN or even drive one yourself… Steam trains run daily during the peak season and the West Somerset Railways host many events on the train and at the station. Check out their website West-Somerset-Railway GO ON SAFARI… Visit Exmoor and the National Park and see the sights you may not otherwise manage to see. Discovery Safaris in Porlock will take you to places that you could not reach in an average motor vehicle. The opportunity to see the Red Deer in their natural habitat.. and so much more. DO YOU LIKE WALKING… have a peek at the Exmoor National Park website and you will find a variety of walks that you can take with a local Ranger. Have the wildlife, vegitation and beautiful surroundings explained to you by an expert. Click on their website for details.

Here in Minehead we are proud of our lifeboat station and its volunteer crew and support staff. From Easter until October the Lifeboat station is open daily to the public FREE OF CHARGE. Of course donations are always welcome so do have a visit. Located at the harbour, you can visit the station, view the two lifeboats on standby and read the history behind this amazing service. There is a gift shop attached offering a vast selection of branded goodies with something for everyone. And not to be missed is the ANNUAL RAFT RACE. Check the web!
